The Danone Nations Cup is an annual 32-team football tournament involving children aged 10-12 from around the world. Structured like a mini World Cup, it is an amazing opportunity for talented youngsters to represent their country and play against teams from across the globe. This prestigious event is backed by international players of the calibre of Zinedine Zidane, Ronaldinho and Ashley Cole.
Organiser Danone was looking for a company to take charge of the entire process of creating an England team to take part in this year's event. They chose us because of our reputation and the quality of our proposal. We came up with a concept designed to identify the most talented kids in the country in order to give England the best chance of victory.
We created a travelling coaching and scouting road show that took in Bristol, Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle, Leeds and London. Each day, hundreds of children took part in skill tests and matches in our purpose-built arenas, all under the watchful eyes of our qualified coaches. The best players were invited to a day of coaching with ex- England internationals Chris Waddle and Neil Ruddock. They were divided into teams and the winners were sent to Lyon to represent their country.
We made sure that the England team looked fantastic in their branded kit. The players performed well and achieved a creditable 15th placed finish. Danone were delighted with our work.
"We look forward to working with Be Sport again. Their proposal blew us away and they delivered everything that was promised."
